Fang Xindong, chairman of board of Chinalabs said on June 9 that Chinese Internet markets are almost equally shared by the four areas of Beijing, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Guangdong.
Till December 18, 2007, there were 22 Chinese Internet companies were listed in the market, among them, 10 based in Beijing, 6 in Shanghai, 3 in Guangdong and 2 in Zhejiang.
The total market value of these 22 Internet companies is $69.607 billion, among them, Alibaba and Netsum, which based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, whose market value is $18.04 billion, take 25.92% of Chinese Internet company's total market value. The market value of 19 Internet companies based in Beijing is $18.635 billion, six companies based in Shanghai have market value of $16.549 billion and three companies based in Guangdong have market value of $14.913 billion.
