Japan's foreign reserves, the world's second largest following China, shrunk to 996.98 billion dollars at the end of May, a loss of 6.86 billion dollars from late April.
The reserves, which hit a record high of 1,015.59 billion dollars in late March, consist of securities and deposits denominated in foreign currencies, International Monetary Fund reserve positions, IMF special drawing rights and gold. |
